A one-stop desk reference, for engineers involved in all aspects of aerospace, this book will not gather dust on the shelf. It brings together the essential professional reference content from leading international contributors in the field. Material covers a broad topic range from structural components of aircraft, design and airworthiness to aerodynamics and modeling.

* A hard-working desk reference, providing all the essential material needed by aerospace engineers on a day-to-day basis
* Fundamentals, key techniques, engineering best practice and rules-of-thumb together in one quick-reference sourcebook
* Definitive content by the leading authors in the field, including Howard Curtis, Antonio Filippone, Michael Cook and T.H.G. Megson

Dr. Antonio Filippone is a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Mike Tooley is a technical author and consultant. He was formerly Vice Principal at Brooklands College in Surrey, England, where he was responsible for the delivery of learning to over 10,000 Further and Higher Education students increasingly by flexible, open and on-line distance learning. Mike is the well-known author of several popular engineering and related text books, including widely adopted course texts for BTEC, GCE A-level and GCSE qualifications in Engineering. Mike's hobbies include astronomy, amateur radio, aviation, computing and electronic circuit design and construction.

John Watkinson is an independent international consultant in advanced applications of electronics to audiovisual and avionics systems. He is a Fellow of the AES, a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses, and the British Computer Society and is a chartered information systems practitioner. "
This book is good book for those new entrants in the field as it gives an idea about many fields of aersospace engineering. Actually, it is extraction from other books and the effort paid in my opinion is not so much sophisticated. Unlike the Standard Handbook for Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineers by Davis which covers all aspects and in great depth to qualify for a "reference" or "handbook". In any case, I do recommend it for beginners to start with to gain insight about Aero Engineering "

"This is just one of those books that will last you decades while you're in the industry. The only thing that would make this book obsolete is if engineering would get rewritten within a decade. It is not a textbook but is prefectly detailed exactly where you need it. It contains information on virtually everything aerospace engineering related and organises them into distinct sections. The book weighs a substantial amount, but is kept protected by the hardcover. A slight drawback is that it can become difficult to follow sometimes as it is written for those who already understand the topics but need a quick reference to cross-check or pull out an equation. I would urge everyone considering this book not to pay too much attention to the price since you would need to buy several dedicated aero books on structures, performance, avionics, etc. to have what you'll find in this desk reference.
